The law firm of Stephen F. Shine provides a variety of legal services to individuals as well as businesses, corporations, and municipal government bodies. Mr. Shine specializes in the area of construction law and tax law.
In 1976 Stephen graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree. Stephen then went on to obtain a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the bar by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1981 and then commenced practicing law in the Region of Durham. Stephen has recently obtained his Master of Taxation degree from the University of Waterloo. He also frequently participates in professional seminars and continuing education courses to advance his knowledge and interest in law.
Stephen is a Member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, The Durham Region Law Association, The Durham Region Home Builders Association, and several other professional affiliations. Stephen was formerly the president of the Oshawa Association for Community Living. He has written numerous articles that have been published by local newspapers such as Oshawa This Week. When he is not practicing law, Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, and sports such as skiing, cycling and golfing.
